HC Deb 22 November 1984 vol 68 c221W
Mr. Ernie Ross

asked the Prime Minister if she will publish the location of centres for the denaturation of surplus European Economic Community foodstuffs in Britain; and what has been the type of produce and the amount denatured in the past year in each location.

The Prime Minister

There are no Government denaturing centres. In the year ended 31 October 1984, 25,000 tonnes of wheat and 117,000 tonnes of skimmed milk power were denatured for animal feed at commercial premises. The quantities treated at particular locations are not recorded.
