§ 28. Mr. Sean Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will report on the progress of the preparatory study presently being conducted prior to integrated operations on Merseyside.
§ Mr. Norman LamontThis study has been commissioned by Merseyside county council, with financial assistance from the European Commission, to consider the feasibility of an integrated operation. I understand that it is hoped to complete the study before the end of the year.
