§ Mr. Tony Banksasked the Secretary of State for the Environment which body will assume responsibility for 156W the activity and schemes to help the single homeless which are at present carried out directly by the Greater London council and not through voluntary organisations and which relate to an area wider than that of a single borough, if the Greater London council is abolished.
§ Sir George YoungResponsibility for activities undertaken by the Greater London council using powers held concurrently with London borough councils will pass to those councils on abolition.
