§ Mr. Peter BottomleyI am aware of the detrimental effects of excessive drinking at work. The Health and Safety Executive cooperated in the publication in 1981 of a guidance booklet on steps which could be taken jointly by managements and trade unions to assist the problem drinker at work. The guidance aims to reduce or eliminate problem drinking. It makes no recommendations about the use of products designed to mitigate the effects of alcohol already consumed.
