HC Deb 15 November 1984 vol 67 c309W
Mr. Key

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what action is being taken by Her Majesty's Government in response to the report of the Commonwealth Education Ministers conference in Nicosia.

Mr. Brooke

The conference allowed for a valuable exchange of views on the three themes discussed, and in particular on that of student mobility within the Commonwealth, over which some differences of approach and practice emerged. The Government are considering the views expressed at the conference and note that there is to be a brief meeting of Commonwealth Education Ministers late next year either immediately before or after the UNESCO general conference, at which discussion can be taken further.
