HC Deb 13 November 1984 vol 67 c183W
Mr. Pavitt

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what information he received from the chief executive and other officers of the London borough of Brent (a) before and (b) after 24 October concerning the council's intentions about tailoring expenditure to live within the Government's limits.

Mr. Waldegrave

The chief executive of the London borough of Brent wrote to my Department on 31 July asking for information before advising the members of his council whether or not to see a redetermination of Brent's expenditure level. My Department has received no other correspondence from officers of the council about rate limitation.
