HC Deb 08 November 1984 vol 67 c5W
Mr. Barry Jones

asked the Secretary of State for Wales what is his estimate of the number of new jobs expected to be created over the next 12 months in (a) Wales and (b) in the county of Clwyd.

Mr. Nicholas Edwards

Available information relates to the number of manufacturing jobs expected to arise over the next three to four years from projects for which offers of selective financial assistance have been accepted and from Government factory allocations. For Wales the latest figure available as at June 1984 was 20,530. That for Clwyd was 4,300.
