§ Mr. WhitneyThe further guidance was given in writing to staff and management directly involved by the nominated equal opportunity officer in the diplomatic wing and by an announcement in the Overseas Development Administration wing of my Department.
§ Mr. Jannerasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether the monitoring of equal opportunities policy in his Department will include an ethnic monitoring exercise, as recommended by the code of the Commission for Racial Equality.
§ Mr. WhitneyAs I said in my answer to the hon. and learned Member on 26 April, further action in respect of ethnic monitoring in this Department will be considered when the results of the surveys carried out in the north-west and Avon have been evaluated.
