§ Mr. Nellistasked the Secretary of State for Employment when (a) the preliminary report and (b) the final report from Aston university on the Manpower Services Commission training accidents stastics will be sent to the Manpower Services Commission; when he anticipates either report being published; whether either report will affect the way the Manpower Services Commission publishes its figures; and if he will ensure that a copy of each report is placed in the Library as soon as it is available.

§ Mr. Peter MorrisonI refer the hon. Member to my reply of 15 May to my hon. Friend the Member for Nuneaton (Mr. Stevens) at columns153–4. The Manpower Services Commission is also making copies of the preliminary report available on request. A copy of the report of the final study will be placed in the Library when available. All recommendations on accident recording made by the Aston researchers will be fully considered by the commission when reviewing the presentation of its accident statistics for the Youth Training Scheme.
