Whether prisoners on remand awaiting trial are entitled to receive letters from sentenced prisoners both generally and in particular about matters that may concern their defence.

Unconvicted inmates are normally allowed to correspond with convicted inmates about any matter, but such correspondence is subject to the restrictions on contents set out in Standing Order 5B34.
