§ Mr. Iain Millsasked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will introduce legislation to change the definition of the public interest in matters concerning bus stage operation licensing to include a statutory obligation towards those ratepayers who subsidise the bus operation.
§ Mrs. ChalkerAs I said, in reply to a question by my hon. Friend the Member for Keighley (Mr. Waller) on 14 February at column 115, we are having a thorough study made of bus licensing and hope to be able to make a full announcement in the early summer.
