§ Mr. Beithasked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) whether he will issue guidance to local health authorities that marital status and family stability should be taken into account when consideration is given to carrying out fertility operations under the National Health Service;
(2) whether he will issue guidelines to health authorities about the use of National Health Service resources for fertility surgery for women who already have children.
