asked the Secretary of State for Defence how much of the Buttonwood military base is under the jurisdiction of the United States military authorities.

Mr. Stanley

Military command of all US personnel at RAF Burtonwood is exercised by the United States military authorities. Legal jurisiction in relation to United Kingdom law is governed by the provisions of the Visiting Forces Act 1952.
