§ Mrs. ChalkerThe provision of a motorway service area in the vicinity of the Dartford tunnel is an important element in my strategy for services on M25. My initial proposal was for a site on the southern approaches to the tunnel at Dartford but difficulties have arisen about its suitability. I am further considering the merits of the site and an alternative at Aveley, Thurrock, to ensure that the best site is selected.
