§ Mr. John Stradling ThomasAn equal opportunities officer was designated in early April 1984 by the head of the personnel management division. The duties of the equal opportunities officer, a principal in the personnel management division, will be to promulgate and monitor equal opportunities policies, and provide information and advice to management, individual members of staff, the departmental trade union side and the Cabinet Office (MPO).
