HC Deb 10 May 1984 vol 59 c451W
Mrs. Beckett

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what steps he now intends to take to notify those who received redundancy payments at a time when their employer became insolvent between 1976 and 1982 that they may be entitled to back payment if they lost part of their entitlement to benefit.

Mr. Gummer

I have been asked to reply.

The redundancy payments offices of this Department will shortly be writing to all those who have left their names and addresses in this connection. We are also anxious to ensure that others who consider they may be entitled to a supplementary insolvency notice payment from the redundancy fund, but have not yet contacted my Department's offices do so as soon as possible and we are considering how best to draw their attention to this.
