§ The Prime MinisterThe press was not given any briefing on the contents of the Government response before its publication on 3 May by the Treasury and Civil Service Committee. Press inquiries between 28 February, when the second report from the Treasury and Civil Service Committee was published, and 3 May were referred to the evidence given to the Select Committee and published on 28 February.
