§ 39. Mr. Baldryasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what measures are being taken to advertise the new social security freefone information service.
§ Mr. NewtonBoth national and local newspapers have carried articles and the service has also been publicised through local radio and television programmes. Posters and handbills are on display in public libraries, the offices of voluntary organisations and day centres for the elderly as well as in local DHSS offices and those of the Department of Employment. I hope that posters will shortly be displayed in Post Offices. As they are reprinted, forms and leaflets issued by the Department will also include details of the service.
