Thomasasked the Secretary of State for Wales how he proposes to evaluate (a) the number of new jobs created, (b) the level of work experience and skill acquisition by young people participating, (c) the quality of the off-the-job educational provision within the youth training scheme and (d) the level of satisfaction of young people participating in the youth training scheme in Wales.
§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsIn addition to the regular monitoring by the Manpower Services Commission of individual schemes at local level, information will be available from a programme of surveys and studies drawn up by the commission to evaluate the youth training scheme on a national basis in terms of recruitment, content, impact on the labour market and the effects on individual trainees.
