§ Mr. DunnSince 1979 one local education authority has re-established a grammar school for part of its area following the approval of statutory proposals by my right hon. Friend's predecessor. We only necessarily become aware of an authority's intention when it publishes proposals; it is not possible, therefore, to state the number of authorities which have considered but rejected the possibility of reintroducing selective secondary education.
