§ Mr. Spearingasked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many of the four cases determined by the National Health Service tribunal in 1983 concerning removal of a general practitioner from the National Health Service list referred to in the reply to the hon. Member for Newham, South on 5 April, at column 642, resulted in removal.
§ Mr. Kenneth Clarke[pursuant to his reply, 11 April 1984, c. 289]: I am now informed that of the four cases 232W considered by the tribunal in 1983, details of which were notified to the hon. Member in my reply to him on 5 April, at column 642, two such referrals are, in fact, still outstanding. Of the two remaining cases, one was withdrawn by the family practitioner committee, and in the other the tribunal directed the removal of the practitioner's name from all FPC lists. I regret the error in the information contained in my answer on 5 April.
