Mr.Coombs

asked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will list the organisations whose views were sought on the most recent changes in the rules governing the issue of parking badges for disabled drivers.

The organisations were:

  • Association of County Councils.
  • Association of District Councils.
  • Association of Metropolitan Authorities.
  • London Boroughs Associations.
  • Convention of Scottish Local Authorities.
  • Association of Chief Police Officers.
  • Association of Chief Police Officers (Scotland).
  • Joint Committee on Mobility for the Disabled.
  • Joint Committee on Mobility of Blind and Partially Sighted People.
  • Scottish Council on Disability.
  • Wales Council for the Disabled.
  • Chest, Heart and Stroke Association.

asked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will list the number of appeals to each local authority against refusal of an application for a disabled parking badge, since the introduction of the new rules.
