§ Mr. BrookeThe cost to the seven educational institutions providing chiropody courses is estimated to be of the order of £1.6 million of which a proportion is met by local health authorities. The only course outside the educational system is in the London foot hospital, and is estimated to cost about £0.25 million. The costs of local authority discretionary awards to chiropody students are not recorded centrally.
