§ Mr. PattieThe information requested is available in respect of employees who have registered under the 1944 Disabled Persons (Employment) Act, but not those who are disabled or physically handicapped but have chosen not to register. The latest figures are for 1st June 1983, when my Department employed 2,215 registered disabled persons. This represented 1.12 per cent. of the total civilian work force. The following table shows the grades they occupied:
