§ Mr. Trotterasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether relief from income tax will be available in respect of premiums paid on life assurance policies after the period for which they were in force on Budget day has been extended under an option existing on Budget day.
§ Mr. MooreIf, after midnight on 13 March 1984, a policyholder chooses to extend the term of a qualifying policy existing before then—whether by the exercise of an option or otherwise — relief from income tax in respect of the premiums on that policy will cease to be available.
