§ Mr. Winnickasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the response of the Chilean authorities to the British request that the Nazi war criminal, Rauff, be expelled to face trial in the Federal Republic of Germany; and what further steps will be taken by Her Majesty's Government over this matter.
§ Mr. WhitneyThe Chilean authorities have rejected our request for Rauff to be expelled from Chile so that he could stand trial in the Federal Republic of Germany. We are studying the terms of the Chilean reply to our representations and will be considering what further steps might be appropriate.
