§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkePay negotiations for NHS staff groups not covered by the pay review bodies are conducted in the various Whitley councils. I understand that claims have been submitted in respect of some but not yet all such staff groups. I also understand that at a meeting on 14 March the staff side of the Administrative and Clerical Staffs Council rejected an offer worth 3 per cent. overall.
Review bodies are considering the pay of doctors and dentists, nurses and midwives and the professions allied to medicine.
