§ Mr. Soamesasked the Prime Minister what agreement has been reached between the Ministry of Defence and the Overseas Development Administration on the sharing of costs for roads or other infrastructure projects on the Falklands.
§ The Prime MinisterThe estimated cost of repairs and rehabilitation of roads in Stanley and the airport road is £6.8 million. The Ministry of Defence has agreed to meet up to £4.3 million, with the Overseas Development Administration providing £2.5 million.
MOD and ODA have agreed to share equally the estimated cost of £200,000 for interim improvements to Stanley water supply.
