HC Deb 23 March 1984 vol 56 c595W
Mr. Alton

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs on what occasions British relief agencies have been instructed at any time in the past three months to cease temporarily the shipment of relief supplies to Ethiopia through either of the Red sea ports of Massawa and Assab; and what reasons were given for these instructions by the Ethiopian Government.

Mr. Raison

I know of no such instructions, although the flow of material through the port is liable to interruption.
