HC Deb 21 March 1984 vol 56 cc452-3W
3. Mr. Bob Edwards

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what consultations have taken place with the United States Government over the Gulf crisis.

Sir Geoffrey Howe

We are regularly in touch with the United States on a wide variety of issues, including recent developments in the Gulf. My hon. Friend the Member for Shoreham (Mr. Luce) has been in Washington this week for further high level discussions with the United States Administration. The subjects covered included the situation in the Gulf. He returns to London this evening.
