HC Deb 19 March 1984 vol 56 c373W
Mrs. Renée Short

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many people are now waiting to be fitted with hearing aids.

Mr. Newton

Comprehensive information about waiting lists at NHS hearing aid centres is not held centrally, but on the basis of the available figures for 29 February 1984 it is estimated that some 25,800 outpatients in England and Wales were waiting to have a hearing aid fitted or exchanged.
