§ Mr. Nicholas Edwards42½ Welsh Office staff were employed solely on housing matters on 1 March 1984, and the corresponding figure for 31 May 1979 was 54½. In addition, a small number of staff, particularly in the Finance group, spend a proportion of their time on housing matters.
