§ Mr. Peter Bruinvelsasked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will consider introducing legislation to permit the wider use of blood samples in drink-drive cases.
§ Mrs. ChalkerThe law already provides for a person's right to supply a specimen of blood or urine when his breath specimen contains not more than 50 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. This is equivalent to a level of about 115 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood or nearly one and a half times the legal limit.
