§ Mr. Pavittasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what action has been taken on the report by Major General R. P. W. Wall, CB, JP, entitled "The Way Ahead" for the future of the Brent family practitioner committee.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeWe have adopted the proposals recommended in Major General Wall's report. Preparations for the relocation and computerisation of the five family practitioner committees now based at 1 Olympic Way, Wembley are under way. A steering committee, comprising the chairmen of the local district health authorities and family practitioner committees, is overseeing arrangements and staff interests are being consulted at every stage. Major General Wall has agreed to assist the DHAs and FPCs concerned in this process. The moves are scheduled for completion by March 1986.
