asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many times since his arrival at Wakefield prison Shane Paul O'Doherty, No. 336143, has been allowed to attend mass.

Once since his arrival at Wakefield on 14 February. Arrangements have been made for him to attend mass on a weekly basis.

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many times since his arrival at Wakefield prison Shane Paul O'Doherty, No. 336143, has been fined or had his money reduced as a penalty for talking; and what sections of the prison rules make it an offence for prisoners to talk.

Talking is not an offence under prison rules. Since his arrival at Wakefield prison Mr. O'Doherty has on one occasion been found guilty of an offence under prison rule 47(18) of disobeying a lawful order when he refused to stop shouting. He was awarded 50p stoppage of earnings.
