§ 28. Mr. Eadieasked the Secretary of State for Energy what planning assumptions he makes for coal production in 1984 about the coal burn in power stations; and, of this, what is the estimated coal burn in Scotland by the South of Scotland Electricity Board.
§ Mr. Giles ShawThe level of coal production in any year, and the assumptions which are made in planning this, are matters for the National Coal Board.
I understand that the latest available estimates by the generating boards of power station coal burn in the year beginning 1 November 1983 are as follows:
