asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what is the average pupil-teacher ratio in schools which are involved in the 14 pilot technical and vocational educational initiative schemes.

Mr. Dunn

The initial 14 pilot projects did not start until the current academic year, and information about numbers of pupils and teachers in individual schools for this year is not yet available in the Department.
