§ Mr. John MacKayThe following grants were offered in 1983–84 to organisations wholly or partly concerned with provision of services for the under-fives:
£ Scottish Pre-School Playgroups Association * 106,295 National Playbus Association 4,780 National Childminding Association 2,300 Playmatters 3,000 Scottish Child and Family Alliance 13,100 The Association of Fair Play for Children in Scotland 7,889 * Includes grants for play in hospitals, training and playgroups in deprived areas. In the same year grants under the urban programme amounting to £1,882,500 were offered to local authorities towards expenditure on projects for under-fives.
