§ Mr. Snapeasked the Secretary of State for Transport whether there will be alterations to the signposting in Greater London and on the roads leading in to Greater London following the proposed designation as trunk roads of 70 miles of existing metropolitan roads in London.
§ Mrs. ChalkerSigning depends not on whether routes are trunk roads, but on their function. We are currently reviewing with the GLC and other local authorities the signing of London roads generally following the opening of sections of the M25.
