§ Mrs. ChalkerThe provision of school crossing patrols is the responsibility of county councils outside London, the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis in the Metropolitan police district, and the Common Council in the City of London. It is for these authorities to consider whether arrangements of the sort to which my hon. Friend refers are appropriate.
