§ Mr. Maddenasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will call for a report from the chief 515W constable of West Yorkshire as to his force's practice with regard to contacting the immigration authorities and the Criminal Record Office when aliens are encountered.
§ Mr. HurdI am informed by the chief constable of West Yorkshire that the immigration authorities or Criminal Record Office are contacted only when there is reason to believe a foreign national is illegally in this country or is suspected of having committed a criminal offence.
