§ Mr. WhitneyAs my hon. Friend the Minister of State, the hon. Member for Edinburgh, Pentlands (Mr. Rifkind) stated in the House on 15 May, at column 115, we shall take suitable opportunities to remind the Soviet authorities of our strong feelings about the continued jamming of BBC services in the Soviet Union which contravenes the spirit and letter of the Helsinki final act as well as article 35 of the convention of the International Telecommunications Union of which the Soviet Union is a signatory.
