§ Mr. ButlerIn 1983 it estimated that tourists specifically in Northern Ireland on angling holidays stayed some 15,000 bed nights in the Province and spent approximately £500,000. Most of these anglers were engaged in coarse fishing. No information on this subject is available in respect of earlier years.
