HC Deb 26 June 1984 vol 62 c390W
50. Mr. Harvey

asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many children in Wales have been affected by the dispute on teachers' pay; and what steps are being taken to mitigate the effects of the dispute upon schools.

Mr. John Stradling Thomas

The majority of pupils in Wales have probably been affected to some degree, but the local authorities, schools and examination bodies are seeking to mitigate the effects in a variety of ways.
