HC Deb 21 June 1984 vol 62 c241W
Mr. Wareing

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what advice he has received on the practice of charging victims of road accidents for treatment under the National Health Service; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. John Patten

As part of the programme of scrutinies within the NHS, a report has been made to Ministers about recovery under the Road Traffic Act of certain costs to the National Health Service of the treatment of casualties arising from road accidents. Decisions will be announced in due course.
