Mr. Dewar

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what was the total financial support from public sector sources including grants, loans and subsidies for the electronics industry in Scotland for each of the last five years.

However, for offers of selective financial assistance under section 7 of the Industrial Development Act 1982 for which the Industry Department for Scotland is responsible and for those forms of assistance provided by the Scottish Development Agency and the Highlands and Islands Development Board the following information is available:
