§ Mr. HurdThe Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis tells me that 5,764 police officers were deployed during the demonstration; that the estimated additional cost was approximately £70,200, that some 50,000 people are estimated to have taken part in the event; and that there were 201 arrests.
