§ Mr. DunnThe average expenditure per pupil on books by each metropolitan district for the last five years is as follows. Separate figures are shown for primary and secondary pupils. Certain authorities did not separate in their returns expenditure on books from that on equipment and therefore it is not possible to provide the requested information for those authorities.
