Mr. Rowlands

asked the Secretary of State for Energy whether he will publish the information available to his Department as to estimates of deep mine and open cast coal capacity for each of the European Economic Community countries for the years 1973, 1975, 1979 and each year since; and what information he has as to forecasts of such capacity for 1985 and 1990.
