§ Mr. David Howellasked the Secretary of State for Energy what quantities of crude oil the United Kingdom is currently importing from (a) Iran and (b) Iraq.
§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithImports of oil into the United Kingdom are published in the IEA "Quarterly oil statistics bulletin". The issue for the fourth quarter of 1983—the latest for which figures are available—shows that for 1983 as a whole the United Kingdom imported 749,000 tonnes of oil from Iran and 622,000 tonnes from Iraq. Figures for the first quarter of 1984 will be published shortly by the IEA.
